We’ve been noticing a growing trend in cardboard accessories and furniture for the home. In fact, the look is becoming quite haute and pricey—Genius Jones is selling a cardboard Chihuahua for a $140. Twenty Twenty One has a line of paper mache and cardboard items for your home. and ReturDesign Studio, based in Sweden, has a line of sleek home furnishings and accents made from cardboard (Chaos shelves pictured above). but of course, you can get this look for less.
Using reclaimed cardboard from boxes to make chairs, tables, clocks, picture frames and more, is a fabulous way to minimize waste and recycle. and most of everything you need for these projects you can find in your home or pull out of a dumpster. We personally recommend raiding the dumpster behind Barnes and Noble for some high-quality cardboard boxes.

Fold school recommends that you have a printer (black/white), cutter, ruler, cutting mat, spray adhesive, needle, glue, masking tape and folding tool—for all of your Fold school projects.
Cardboard Coffee TableMake a fabulous coffee table with items from your home and the dumpster. You can use, glass or a pieces of MDF board for the top. remember to paint and decorate your table. Go crazy. It’s cardboard. These instructions are modified from instructions we found at HGTV.com. They also have instructions for making a cardboard clock, picture frame and lamp.
What you need
2 double walled corrugated cardboard tubes, 13�? diameter
Glue
Utility knife
Straight edge
Surface for cutting
Spray varnish
Glass or board for the top
Instructions
1. cut two pieces of fiber tube to your desired table height.
2. Peel back the outer layer of cardboard and cut the cardboard into small pieces.
3. Trace the inside of the tube twice on cardboard to make tops and cut them out.
4. Glue the small pieces of cardboard in a decorative pattern around the tubes and tops. let the glue fully dry.
5. Spray with a protective layer of varnish and place glass on top.
